An opportunity is available for experienced inpatient pharmacists to support a well-regarded healthcare facility in the Madison, WI area. This contract assignment is focused on delivering expert clinical pharmacy services in a fast-paced inpatient environment.

Position Details:

  • Location: Sun Prairie, WI (travelers only; candidates within 70 miles not considered)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: May 11
  • Schedule: Mix of day (6:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.) and evening (2:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.) shifts, working five 8-hour shifts per week with rotating every 3rd weekend

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services for inpatient and acute care patients
  • Utilize pharmacokinetic and renal dosing principles for therapeutic medication monitoring
  • Manage drug shortages effectively while ensuring optimal pharmacotherapy for various medical conditions
  • Use EMR system EPIC to document and support patient care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize medication management and patient outcomes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient clinical pharmacy experience required
  • Proficiency with acute care pharmacotherapy, dosing adjustments, and therapeutic drug monitoring
  • Valid Wisconsin pharmacist license; ACT-10 license recognized and accepted
  • Willingness and ability to comply with facility Fit Testing protocols (must be clean-shaven to properly seal a mask; personal PAPRs or CAPRs are not permitted)
  • Must be able to wear scrubs (provided at the facility)
