Clinical Pharmacist in Sun Valley, NV

A healthcare facility requires an experienced clinical pharmacist to work night shifts in a 175-bed hospital setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to apply pharmacy expertise while collaborating closely with medical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

Location:

• Sun Valley, NV (near Reno)

Schedule:

• Night shifts
• 7 days on, 7 days off
• 10-hour shifts

Duration:

• 13 weeks or longer
• Start date: immediate availability preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians during night shifts
• Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies and patient care
• Perform pharmacokinetics assessments and dosing recommendations
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Nevada pharmacist license
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience, ideally in a clinical setting
• Strong knowledge of medication order verification and pharmacokinetics
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities during night shifts
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly beneficial
