Position Details

• Start: ASAP
• Assignment: Travel contract
• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
• Rotation: Wednesday–Tuesday
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts
• On-Call: Occasional nighttime coverage may be required
• Setting: 25-bed hospital
• Average Daily Census: 10 patients
• EMR: Cerner – training provided
• Travel: Stipends available for eligible travelers

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders
• Provide patient consultations and medication information
• Receive medication orders and manage pharmacy inventory
• Perform sterile compounding and medication reconstitution
• Handle unit-dose medications
• Monitor medications for expiration
• Complete pharmacy audits and billing functions
• Follow applicable pharmacy rules and regulations
• Supervise pharmacy technician staff
• Perform other duties within scope of licensure

Requirements

• Active California Pharmacist License in good standing
• Willingness to work the 7-on/7-off day-shift rotation
• Ability to perform sterile compounding
• Comfortable supervising pharmacy technicians
• Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and medication safety
