A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to provide expert inpatient pharmacy care in a hospital setting located in Taylors, SC. This role demands a high level of clinical knowledge and experience within hospital pharmacy operations.

Location: Taylors, SC
Setting: Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy
Schedule: 8-hour shifts within 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM pharmacy hours
Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and verify medication orders, focusing on critical care drugs and intravenous drips
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient facility ensuring safe and effective medication use
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapies and patient outcomes
  • Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with controlled substance regulations
  • Utilize Epic electronic health records efficiently, with preferred experience in Omnicell systems
  • Participate in medication management, focusing on complex inpatient cases requiring clinical expertise

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid South Carolina Pharmacist license
  • Minimum of 2 years of solid hospital inpatient pharmacy experience; 5+ years preferred due to limited training availability
  • Proficiency with Epic software required; familiarity with Omnicell systems preferred
  • Strong knowledge of critical medications, drips, quality assurance, and handling controlled substances
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high standards in a fast-paced clinical environment
