Join a dynamic healthcare setting as an evening inpatient Clinical Pharmacist on a 13-week contract starting either April 27 or May 4. This opportunity requires operating in a fast-paced environment, providing both operational and clinical expertise to support medication management and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and dispense medication orders with accuracy.
- Prepare sterile and hazardous medications following USP standards.
- Manage controlled substances according to regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive medication histories and reconciliation.
- Provide patient education on medication use and safety.
- Perform clinical interventions to optimize pharmacotherapy outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams by offering drug information and supporting decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience required.
- Competence with Pyxis and carousel technology is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
- New travelers are welcome to apply.
- Must possess an active NJ pharmacy license.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster.
Schedule:
- Evenings, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Every other week schedule.
