Clinical Pharmacist | Toms River, New Jersey

This opportunity calls for experienced inpatient pharmacists to support evening operational and clinical pharmacy services. The role focuses on ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing and clinical interventions in a fast-paced hospital environment. Immediate start dates are available with a contract duration of 13 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense medication orders accurately.
• Prepare sterile and hazardous medications following USP standards.
• Manage controlled substances and maintain compliance.
• Conduct medication histories, reconciliation, and provide patient education.
• Perform clinical interventions to optimize therapy outcomes.
• Provide drug information and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Utilize EMR system (EPIC) for documentation and communication.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active New Jersey pharmacist license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with Pyxis and carousel medication dispensing technology is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster doses, as per client requirement.
• Open to first-time travelers seeking new assignments.

Schedule:

• Evenings, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, every other week (EOW)
