This opportunity calls for experienced inpatient pharmacists to support evening operational and clinical pharmacy services. The role focuses on ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing and clinical interventions in a fast-paced hospital environment. Immediate start dates are available with a contract duration of 13 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and dispense medication orders accurately.
- Prepare sterile and hazardous medications following USP standards.
- Manage controlled substances and maintain compliance.
- Conduct medication histories, reconciliation, and provide patient education.
- Perform clinical interventions to optimize therapy outcomes.
- Provide drug information and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Utilize EMR system (EPIC) for documentation and communication.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active New Jersey pharmacist license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience.
- Familiarity with Pyxis and carousel medication dispensing technology is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster doses, as per client requirement.
- Open to first-time travelers seeking new assignments.
Schedule:
- Evenings, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, every other week (EOW)
