A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available at a respected medical center in State College, PA, offering the chance to enhance your expertise across multiple critical care settings. This permanent role provides exposure to both the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU), as well as participation in the antibiotic stewardship team—allowing you to broaden your clinical skills beyond a single specialty area.

Location:
State College, Pennsylvania – a vibrant community known for its scenic beauty and home to Penn State University.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Perform medication order entry and verification, ensuring appropriateness through thorough medication profile reviews
  • Deliver clinical services tailored to specific patient populations
  • Provide drug information and participate actively in multidisciplinary teams and rounds
  • Conduct drug therapy monitoring and manage pharmacist-led consults per established protocols
  • Engage in acute patient care scenarios in ED and critical care settings, including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma emergencies

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • PGY1 residency completed or a minimum of 3 years of current clinical pharmacy experience
  • State pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly (candidates without PA license are encouraged to apply)

Schedule:

  • Variable days and afternoons with predominantly day shifts
  • 8-hour shifts

Additional Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range between $108,000 and $169,000 annually (midpoint approximately $139,000)
  • Relocation assistance available to support candidates moving to the area
