Clinical Pharmacist in Turlock, CA

An opportunity is available for an Infusion Pharmacist to provide part-time clinical support, working 2-3 days per week. This role offers an on-going position with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting as soon as possible. Located in Turlock, CA, this position welcomes candidates with strong IV/Infusion/Clinical pharmacy experience, and recent graduates with relevant IV/TPN expertise gained during APPEs or internships are encouraged to apply, as training is available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate physician prescription orders for proper dosage, drug selection, interactions, and administration.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records, including medical history, lab results, and concurrent medications.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory documentation and accrediting standards.
• Monitor clinical laboratory results to assess medication safety and efficacy, coordinating with physicians and nursing staff.
• Provide clinical and technical support to physicians, nurses, and patients.
• Support pharmacist-in-charge with policy implementation and training of pharmacy team members.
• Oversee sterile compounding procedures and quality assurance programs.
• Thoroughly document all communications with healthcare professionals and patients.
• Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to pharmacy best practices.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding drug therapies.

Qualifications:

• Valid California pharmacist license in good standing.
• Strong experience with IV, infusion, and clinical pharmacy, preferably with home infusion background.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
• Attention to detail in documentation and resume presentation.
• Proficiency with CareTend system preferred.
