A direct hire opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to provide specialized care in Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) settings, as well as contribute to the antibiotic stewardship team. This role offers a diverse clinical experience by working across multiple units, enhancing the development of broad clinical skills rather than being limited to a single floor.

Located in the picturesque State College, PA, home to Penn State University, this position allows pharmacists to thrive in a vibrant community while delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and verify medication orders, review medication profiles for appropriateness, and provide clinical services tailored to patient needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and teams within assigned practice areas.
  • Conduct drug therapy monitoring and manage pharmacist-led consults following established protocols.
  • Engage in acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma in the ED and critical care settings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Completion of PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years of current clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Active PA pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania.

Additional Information:

  • Schedule includes variable days and afternoons, primarily 8-hour day shifts.
  • Utilize Meditech IT system for clinical documentation and order management.
  • Competitive salary range from $108,000 to $169,000 annually, with a midpoint around $139,000.
