This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to develop and diversify clinical skills by working across multiple high-acuity areas including the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and as a vital member of the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where pharmacists may be limited to a single unit, this role encourages cross-unit exposure to enhance clinical expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter and verify medication orders and review patient medication profiles for appropriateness.
  • Provide clinical services tailored to specific patient populations.
  • Deliver drug information support to healthcare teams.
  • Participate actively in multi-disciplinary rounds and teams within assigned practice areas.
  • Manage drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-led consults according to protocols.
  • Engage in acute patient care scenarios, including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma situations within ED and critical care settings.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
  • Postgraduate Year 1 residency (PGY1) or a minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience.
  • Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license, or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Proficiency with Meditech information systems is preferred.

Schedule:

  • Variable days and afternoons, primarily day shifts.
  • 8-hour shifts.
