Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist in Virginia Beach, VA

An immediate opportunity is available for a licensed Inpatient Pharmacist to support a leading medical center in Virginia Beach, VA, on a 13-week contract starting Monday, April 20. This role offers flexibility with evening or overnight shifts, allowing you to choose the schedule that best fits your lifestyle.

Shift Options:

• Evening: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Overnight: 8:30 PM – 7:30 AM (Monday–Thursday) and 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM (Friday–Sunday), working 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately in an inpatient hospital setting
• Manage pain-controlled analgesia, antibiotic therapies, and IV medications
• Identify and manage drug interactions and execute order entry
• Support anticoagulant therapy and pharmacokinetic and renal dosing (preferred)
• Administer chemotherapy agents (preferred)
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for comprehensive charting

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must hold a current Virginia Pharmacist license at the time of application (no exceptions)
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience required; prior travel pharmacy experience is a plus
• Proven expertise in IV therapy, pain management medications, antibiotics, drug interaction analysis, and medication order verification
• Familiarity with chemo protocols, anticoagulants, and advanced dosing techniques preferred
• Required proficiency with EPIC EMR system
