A highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist is urgently needed for a 13-week contract assignment at a well-established medical center in Virginia Beach, VA. This role is essential for delivering expert inpatient pharmaceutical care, focusing on medication order verification, pain management, antibiotic stewardship, and comprehensive patient safety.

Schedule Options:

• Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Overnight Shift: 8:30 PM – 7:30 AM (Monday – Thursday) and 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM (Friday – Sunday); 7 nights on/7 nights off rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders with accuracy and attention to safety
• Manage intravenous (IV) therapies and pain-controlled analgesia
• Monitor antibiotic use and identify potential drug interactions
• Utilize clinical judgment for pharmacokinetic and renal dosing adjustments (preferred)
• Support chemotherapy medication protocols (preferred)
• Effectively use EPIC electronic medical records for patient charting and documentation

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Virginia Pharmacist License required at time of application (non-negotiable)
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy practice experience
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR system mandatory
• Experience with IV medications, pain management, antibiotics, and medication safety required
• Prior experience with chemotherapy protocols, anticoagulants, and dosing adjustments preferred
• Travel pharmacy experience is a plus
