A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking two experienced pharmacists to support their sterile and non-sterile compounding departments. This 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity focuses on preparing personalized pharmaceutical compounds tailored to individual patient needs while ensuring full compliance with all State and Federal regulations and USP standards.
Working under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor, you will play a critical role in maintaining patient safety and medication quality. Your responsibilities will include verifying the accuracy of compounded preparations according to master formula worksheets, implementing standard operating procedures, and adhering to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines. Additionally, you will perform calculations, operate specialized production equipment, conduct quality control testing, and maintain strict garbing and aseptic techniques. Providing patient counseling on compounded and prescribed medications is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications accurately and safely
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
- Operate and monitor production equipment and computerized systems
- Conduct quality assurance testing and documentation
- Maintain clean and properly garbed work areas before production
- Stay updated on advancements in compounding pharmacy practices
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
- Recent pharmacy experience with a strong background in sterile compounding
- Familiarity with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards
- Attention to detail and high commitment to attendance and punctuality
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
