A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist with expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding to join their team on a 13-week contract to hire. This role focuses on personalized pharmaceutical preparations tailored specifically to patients’ needs, ensuring precision, compliance, and patient safety.
Responsibilities include monitoring and verifying compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations for accuracy against master formula worksheets, strictly following state and federal regulations, and adhering to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines. You will implement and enforce cleaning and garbing policies, perform necessary calculations, operate production equipment, and maintain aseptic techniques. Quality control testing and inspection of preparations are critical to maintain medication purity and potency. Collaboration with pharmacy staff to support prescription dispensing and provide patient counseling on compounded and over-the-counter medications is also essential. Consistent attendance is critical for this role.
Shift options:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (possible assignment after training)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding pharmacy settings
- Knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards and related federal and state regulations
- Strong aseptic technique and attention to detail
- Ability to operate production and computerized equipment accurately
- Excellent communication and documentation skills

Location: West Chester, PA (with work primarily tied to a facility in Kennett Square, PA)
