A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a skilled clinical pharmacist to support the preparation and quality assurance of personalized pharmaceutical compounds tailored to individual patient needs. This contract-to-hire opportunity spans 13 weeks and offers the chance to work in a critical role that ensures patient safety and compliance within both sterile and non-sterile production environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the accuracy and compliance of compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations against master formula worksheets
- Implementing and adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring patient safety and adherence to state and federal regulations
- Maintaining compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines for compounding practices
- Enforcing cleaning and garbing protocols according to company policies
- Performing calculations and completing documentation accurately
- Operating and monitoring production equipment and technology to uphold quality standards
- Ensuring the correct aseptic techniques and thorough preparation of work areas before production
- Conducting quality control testing and inspections to verify the purity, potency, and accuracy of compounds
- Staying current with new compounding techniques, formulations, and industry advancements through continuous learning
Schedule options include Monday to Friday shifts: 8:00 am–4:30 pm or 9:00 am–5:30 pm. After training, there may also be a shift assignment from 10:30 am–7:00 pm.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
- Recent experience in pharmacy practice
- Proven background in sterile compounding
