Clinical Pharmacist | West Chester, Pennsylvania

A contract-to-hire opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in sterile and non-sterile compounding at a specialty compounding pharmacy focused on personalized pharmaceutical preparations. This role involves working closely with the Sterile and Non-Sterile Production departments to ensure all compounded medications meet stringent quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Location: West Chester, PA
Schedule (Monday - Friday):

• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM OR
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM OR
• 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (may be assigned)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accurate preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounded medications per master formula worksheets.
• Enforce compliance with state, federal, and USP <795>, <797>, and <800> compounding guidelines.
• Ensure proper cleaning and garbing procedures are followed.
• Perform calculations, complete required documentation, and operate production equipment in line with policies.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and prepare work areas thoroughly for production.
• Monitor technical and computerized equipment to uphold quality standards.
• Conduct quality control tests and ensure the purity, potency, and safety of compounded medications.
• Stay current with new compounding methods, formulations, and related professional development.
• Assist prescription dispensing personnel as needed during shifts.

Desired Qualifications:

• PA Pharmacist License required
• Recent pharmacy experience preferred
• Sterile compounding background required
• Open to new pharmacy graduates
