A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy in West Chester, PA, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding to join their team on a 13-week contract-to-hire basis. This role focuses on personalized pharmaceutical preparations tailored to meet individual patient needs, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of sterile and non-sterile compounded preparations in alignment with master formula worksheets.
  • Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines.
  • Monitor and enforce cleaning and garbing protocols according to company policies.
  • Perform calculations and maintain thorough documentation as required.
  • Operate production equipment accurately and maintain quality standards.
  • Apply aseptic techniques consistently and prepare work areas prior to production.
  • Conduct quality control tests to verify the purity, potency, and accuracy of compounded medications.
  • Stay updated on new compounding technologies and formulations through ongoing professional development.
  • Support prescription dispensing personnel with proper techniques and preparation accuracy.
  • Provide patient care and counseling related to compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license.
  • Recent experience in pharmacy practice.
  • Demonstrated background in sterile compounding is required.
  • Open to new graduates eager to develop compounding expertise.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, with shifts available from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, or 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM.
