A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist experienced in chemotherapy to support both inpatient and outpatient oncology services at a major healthcare facility within a large county health system. This role offers exposure to a busy, high-capacity hospital environment and the chance to contribute to specialized pharmacy care in chemotherapy.
Responsibilities include:
- Dispensing and managing chemotherapy medications for inpatient and outpatient oncology patients
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize pharmacologic care plans
- Ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards related to chemotherapy administration
- Participating in pharmacy operations that support the oncology department
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current pharmacist licensure with a strong foundation in inpatient clinical pharmacy
- Experience with chemotherapy and oncology pharmacy practices preferred
- Completion of a PGY-1 residency or approximately two years of relevant clinical inpatient experience is highly desirable
- Ability to pass a competency exam related to pharmacy operations and chemotherapy
- Eligibility to undergo background checks and live scanning required
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
