Clinical Pharmacist - Whittier, California

A contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in outpatient oncology infusion. This role involves providing critical pharmaceutical care during night shifts, ensuring the safe preparation and verification of chemotherapy and other IV medications. Candidates will be deployed across multiple sites within the Los Angeles metro area, offering variety and exposure within a leading healthcare system.

Location: Los Angeles Metro Area (specific site to be determined)
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Night shift: 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and check IV medications, primarily chemotherapy infusions
• Ensure compliance with USP <797> and <800> standards for sterile compounding and hazardous drugs handling
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care in an outpatient oncology setting
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and medication order verification

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with clinical experience in oncology pharmacy, including chemotherapy handling
• Strong background in IV admixtures and sterile compounding requirements
• Familiarity with USP <797> and <800> regulations
• Experience working night shifts preferred
• Proficiency in using EPIC or similar healthcare IT systems
