A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available supporting outpatient oncology infusion services within a respected healthcare system located in the Los Angeles area. This contract position requires strong expertise in chemotherapy and infusion protocols. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, allowing for consistent daytime hours.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify intravenous (IV) medication orders for oncology patients.
• Maintain adherence to USP 797 and 800 standards to ensure safe preparation and handling.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize chemotherapy protocols and patient outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC for medication order verification and documentation.
• Provide clinical guidance related to chemotherapy and oncology pharmacy practice.

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with solid clinical experience in chemotherapy and oncology.
• Strong background in IV medication preparation and verification processes.
• In-depth knowledge of USP 797 and 800 sterile compounding standards.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced outpatient infusion environment.
