This opportunity focuses on providing expert clinical pharmaceutical care in a specialty compounding pharmacy setting. The role involves working under the guidance of the Pharmacy Supervisor within both Sterile and Non-Sterile Production departments to ensure all compounded medications meet strict state and federal standards. You will have a critical role in supporting prescription dispensing teams, maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines, and delivering patient counseling on compounded and other medications.

Job Type: Contract to Hire – 13-week assignment
Facility: Specialty Compounding Pharmacy
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm
- Monday - Friday, 10:30am - 7:00pm (may be assigned)
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy and compliance when preparing sterile and non-sterile compounded medications following master formula worksheets.
- Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures and policies to guarantee patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Comply with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines during compounding processes.
- Maintain proper cleaning and garbing protocols per company policies.
- Perform calculations and complete all necessary documentation accurately.
- Operate and monitor production and computerized equipment with precision.
- Prepare work areas thoroughly prior to production runs.
- Conduct quality control tests and inspections to verify medication quality, purity, and potency.
- Stay current with advancements in compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies.
- Provide patient care and counseling on compounded prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania (PA)
- Experience in sterile compounding required; recent pharmacy experience preferred
- Open to newly licensed pharmacists entering the field
