Clinical Pharmacist in Yakima, WA

An acute care hospital with 230 beds located in Yakima, WA is seeking a skilled clinical pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment, with the potential to convert to a permanent role. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to comprehensive patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Work Schedule Options:

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week
• 7 consecutive night shifts followed by 7 days off, working 12-hour night shifts (6 pm to 6 am)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and dispense medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations
• Provide clinical consultation to physicians and nursing staff to optimize medication therapy
• Conduct pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosage adjustments
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to ensure safety and compliance

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Washington State Pharmacist License
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary care team
