This key leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee pharmacy operations within a behavioral health inpatient facility. The position requires a licensed Pennsylvania pharmacist to serve as Director of Pharmacy (DOP), with potential Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) responsibilities. The assignment begins immediately, covering the current DOP’s departure through the transition to a permanent hire.

Responsibilities:

  • Function as the primary pharmacist on-site, ensuring safe and effective medication management
  • Attend interdisciplinary meetings contributing pharmacy expertise
  • Manage Omnicell medication stock and ordering processes
  • Oversee pharmacy setup, including policy development and new start workflows
  • Provide coverage for order verification remotely on weekends (twice daily, approximately one hour each)
  • Collaborate with clinical teams in a behavioral health setting to support patients’ pharmaceutical needs

Qualifications:

  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist licensure is required
  • Strong inpatient pharmacy experience; behavioral health background strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with EPIC order entry system; onsite training provided
  • Experience with Omnicell automation preferred but not mandatory—training available
  • Ability to work independently in a unit without pharmacy technician support

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with on-call responsibilities
  • Weekend order verification from home at 9 AM and 9 PM for approximately one hour each time

  • Behavioral health facility near Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
