An interim leadership opportunity is available to oversee pharmacy operations at a newly opening behavioral health facility specializing in inpatient psychiatric care. This role will support the launch and ongoing management of pharmacy services ensuring smooth medication distribution and regulatory compliance in a specialized clinical setting.

- Ballwin, MO (St. Louis metropolitan area)

Responsibilities:
- Lead pharmacy setup for a new behavioral health inpatient facility licensed for 96 beds (initially 12 operational)
- Collaborate with the C-suite and Area Director of Pharmacy to establish policies and procedures
- Manage procurement, packaging, and stocking of medications, specifically maintaining Pyxis automated dispensing systems
- Verify medication orders once patients are onsite, ensuring accuracy and safety
- Serve as on-call resource Monday through Friday plus weekends as needed, with additional support expected during startup phase
- No sterile compounding duties required
- Participate in remote training with Area Director of Pharmacy
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Missouri Pharmacist license
- Certification in Medication Therapy Services
- Proven experience in inpatient behavioral health pharmacy operations
- Proficient with Pyxis automation systems
- Familiarity with HCS order entry system (training provided)
- Ability to work independently in a setting without pharmacy staff or technician support
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with executive leadership and clinical teams
- Local candidates preferred due to hands-on nature and ongoing presence required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, plus weekday and weekend on-call coverage
- Initial assignment beginning July 6th with approximately 8+ weeks duration until permanent placement
