Pharmacy Director | Bedford, Virginia

This opportunity is for a Pharmacist to serve as the working Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a newly established behavioral hospital in Lynchburg, VA. Operating within a collaborative healthcare environment, this role demands strong leadership combined with hands-on pharmacy practice. The position offers a Monday through Friday daytime schedule and is ideal for a VA-licensed pharmacist open to travel or temporary relocation.

Responsibilities include:

• Dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
• Consulting with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
• Overseeing pharmacy technicians and their daily tasks
• Managing and restocking automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs)
• Ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations and internal policies

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Virginia pharmacist license required
• Prior experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or similar leadership role preferred
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health pharmacy operations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts only
