A leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy/working Pharmacist in Charge at a newly established behavioral hospital. This contract role offers the chance to shape pharmacy operations in a small, specialized healthcare setting. Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the working Pharmacist in Charge, providing hands-on dispensing and direct patient care
- Consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize medication therapy
- Oversee pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and compliance
- Manage restocking of Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) and inventory control
- Support pharmacy operations and protocols in line with hospital standards
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist with experience in a Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacy-in-Charge role
- Background in behavioral health pharmacy services preferred
- Strong leadership skills to manage staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of medication distribution systems including ADCs
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
