A leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy working as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a new behavioral hospital in Lynchburg, VA. Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the working PIC, overseeing day-to-day pharmacy operations.
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
• Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy.
• Manage and provide oversight to pharmacy technicians.
• Restock and maintain automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs).
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with current credentials.
• Experience working as a Pharmacist in Charge or in a leadership role within a hospital pharmacy.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health pharmacy practices preferred.
• Ability to manage both clinical and operational duties effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday.
• Day shift hours.
