Director of Pharmacy - Belt, MT

An opportunity exists for an experienced pharmacy leader to serve as an Interim Director of Pharmacy in Great Falls, MT. This contract role requires a Montana pharmacy license and offers a chance to lead and stabilize a hospital pharmacy pharmacy department that supports outpatient clinics and surgical hospital services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and management oversight for a pharmacy staff comprising 2-3 pharmacist FTEs daily
• Assume the role of Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
• Oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance and quality standards
• Lead key departmental projects including clean room renovation, medi-tech IT system updates, and financial analysis related to the infusion center
• Stabilize and maintain professional standards within the pharmacy team
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to align pharmacy services with organizational goals

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current Montana pharmacy license required
• Proven hospital pharmacy management experience
• Experience within outpatient clinics and surgical hospital settings preferred
• Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate a small pharmacy team
• Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with site automation systems (Touchpoint) is a plus

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend or on-call responsibilities

This contract engagement is expected to begin ASAP and continue for approximately three months or until the position is filled permanently.
