Lead the pharmacy operations of a historic not-for-profit acute care hospital serving Chicago’s South Side community since 1912. This direct hire role offers an annual salary range of $165,000 to $185,000, plus an eligible $3,000 bonus and potential relocation assistance. Pharmacy Hours:
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Full scope leadership of inpatient pharmacy operations, including clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management
- Collaborate with hospital administration and clinical teams to optimize pharmacy services
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards
- Lead and develop a diverse pharmacy team (20 staff members across full-time, part-time, and PRN roles)
- Support and promote community health initiatives within an underserved population
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital (mandatory)
- At least 3 years of acute care inpatient pharmacy experience (mandatory)
- PharmD degree strongly preferred
- Board Certification and hospital residency completion considered strong assets
- Proven experience managing multi-level pharmacy teams
- Familiarity with Joint Commission and CMS compliance requirements
- Experience in community or safety net hospital settings is a plus
