Lead the pharmacy operations of a historic not-for-profit acute care hospital serving Chicago’s South Side community since 1912. This direct hire role offers an annual salary range of $165,000 to $185,000, plus an eligible $3,000 bonus and potential relocation assistance. Your leadership will impact inpatient pharmacy services in an environment dedicated to meaningful community health.

Pharmacy Hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full scope leadership of inpatient pharmacy operations, including clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management
  • Collaborate with hospital administration and clinical teams to optimize pharmacy services
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards
  • Lead and develop a diverse pharmacy team (20 staff members across full-time, part-time, and PRN roles)
  • Support and promote community health initiatives within an underserved population

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory)
  • Minimum 3 years as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital (mandatory)
  • At least 3 years of acute care inpatient pharmacy experience (mandatory)
  • PharmD degree strongly preferred
  • Board Certification and hospital residency completion considered strong assets
  • Proven experience managing multi-level pharmacy teams
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission and CMS compliance requirements
  • Experience in community or safety net hospital settings is a plus
