Director of Pharmacy | Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

This opportunity is for a Director of Pharmacy (DOP) position with potential to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a behavioral health facility located in Bethlehem, PA. This contract role requires immediate coverage beginning March 13 to support the inpatient pharmacy until a permanent hire is secured.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy operations including medication ordering, stocking and distribution
• Function as a practicing pharmacist attending departmental meetings and fulfilling clinical duties
• Perform order verifications remotely on weekends for approximately one hour at 9am and 9pm
• Lead pharmacy setup and development initiatives including policy creation and implementation
• Maintain compliance with facility standards and support behavioral health specialized services

Schedule and Coverage:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with on-call duties
• Weekend order verification from home as described

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania is required
• Experience in inpatient pharmacy settings is required
• Background in behavioral health pharmacy preferred
• Familiarity or experience with EPIC order entry system; onsite training provided
• Experience with Omnicell automation is a plus; training available
• Ability to work without pharmacy technician support
