Location:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, control, and supervise hospital pharmacy activities in compliance with policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend and implement innovative pharmacy practices and support corporate initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to clinical pharmacists and pharmacy staff.
  • Ensure adherence to JCAHO, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Promote safety, infection control, and disaster preparedness within the department.
  • Establish quality improvement goals related to fiscal management, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Lead department planning, policy development, performance evaluations, and staff development.
  • Foster teamwork among pharmacy personnel, medical staff, and ancillary departments.
  • Maintain smooth operational controls and promote multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution.
  • Minimum three years of hospital pharmacy experience.
  • At least two years of leadership experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Compliance with relevant state requirements, including sterile compounding if applicable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 14 days of hire. Preferred:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Five or more years of hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Advanced certifications such as ALS/ACLS if involved in Code Blue response.
