Director of Pharmacy in Blue Springs, MO

A leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy to drive strategic transformation and operational excellence within a Community Health Center. This role will lead pharmacy services focused on clinical excellence, health equity, financial sustainability, and innovation, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including HRSA 340B Drug Pricing Program requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations, including staffing, workflow, inventory management, and quality initiatives
• Managing the HRSA 340B Drug Pricing Program with full regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and program optimization to support patient access and the FQHC mission
• Overseeing pharmacy financial performance with P&L ownership, budgeting, revenue strategies, business development, and contract pharmacy management
• Serving as Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring licensure, regulatory compliance, controlled substance accountability, and pharmacy security
• Collaborating with executive leadership and clinical teams to align pharmacy services with organizational goals and improve medication access and clinical outcomes
• Developing and maintaining pharmacy policies, quality assurance programs, and continuous improvement culture
• Leading recruitment, supervision, and performance management of pharmacy staff, fostering professional growth and accountability
• Providing clinical oversight on medication management, safety, formulary, and therapeutic decision-making
• Building collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operations and 340B program efficacy

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy
• Minimum 7 years outpatient pharmacy supervisory experience
• At least 3 years of experience with outpatient pharmacy 340B programs, FQHC, HRSA, and AAAHC standards
• Preferred certifications: BCACP, 340B University On-Demand, 340B Advanced Operations Certificate (340B ACE)

This is a direct hire position with an ASAP start preferred by September. The role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and expertise in pharmacy operations and 340B program management.
