Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and supervise pharmacy activities in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Innovate pharmacy practice and operations, collaborating closely with administration and corporate leadership.
- Mentor and oversee clinical pharmacists and support staff, fostering professional growth and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and disaster preparedness protocols.
- Set and communicate departmental goals aligned with hospital objectives.
- Manage recruitment, training, evaluation, and retention of pharmacy personnel.
- Promote multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience; 2 years in a leadership role.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing.
- Ability to obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
- Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy degree, 5+ years hospital experience, ALS/ACLS certification.
