A direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy leader to serve as Director of Pharmacy at a specialized inpatient recovery hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This facility is renowned for post-ICU care of chronically and critically ill patients and operates under rigorous regulatory standards.
This leadership role reports to the hospital CEO and directs all pharmacy operations including clinical services, staffing, compliance, financial management, and quality assurance. The Director ensures safe and accurate medication dispensing while overseeing programs such as adverse drug reaction management and patient drug therapy monitoring. Providing education to staff and patients, developing clinical programs, and promoting continuous quality improvement are key responsibilities. Collaboration with clinical leadership is essential to optimizing patient care outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Oklahoma Pharmacist License in good standing (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years (required)
- BLS certification if mandated by state
- Completion of educational requirements for Oklahoma licensure
- PharmD preferred; BS Pharmacy considered with advanced degree or residency
- Experience in pharmacy management or leadership preferred (minimum one year)
- Board certification and residency completion are highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory bodies
- Oversee drug preparation and accurate dispensing throughout pharmacy departments
- Administer adverse drug reaction programs
- Develop and lead staff training and clinical education programs
- Participate in quality assurance and clinical program development initiatives
- Counsel patients and support clinical teams to optimize medication use
- Foster an environment of continuous quality improvement
