Director of Pharmacy | Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

Lead and manage pharmacy operations as a Pharmacy Director based in Tulsa, OK. This direct hire opportunity offers you the chance to influence patient care quality while fostering a positive work environment within a hospital setting. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

Schedule:

• 8 hours per day, day shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise hospital pharmacy activities, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and state and federal regulations.
• Drive innovation in pharmacy practice by collaborating with administration and executing corporate programs.
• Provide support, mentorship, and oversight to clinical pharmacists and pharmacy support staff.
• Maintain adherence to JCAHO, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy standards.
• Uphold safety, infection control, disaster planning, and security policies within the pharmacy department.
• Set and communicate quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction objectives aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead recruitment, training, evaluation, and retention of pharmacy personnel.
• Foster multidisciplinary teamwork to enhance patient outcomes and operational success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school.
• Minimum of three years’ hospital pharmacy experience, with at least two years in a leadership role.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• Familiarity with sterile compounding and other applicable state regulations.
• Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy degree, five or more years of hospital pharmacy experience, ALS/ACLS certification (if participating in Code Blue).
