Director of Pharmacy in Bronx, NY

A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy to manage pharmacy operations within a county-owned health system anchored by a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and a 10-bed Behavioral Health Unit. This role provides a chance to lead a dedicated, tenured pharmacy team in a community-focused, collaborative healthcare environment.

Pharmacy Hours:

• Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed
• Holidays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Team Composition:

• 2 Full-Time Pharmacists
• 2 Full-Time Pharmacy Technicians
• 2 PRN Pharmacists
• 1 PRN Pharmacy Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all pharmacy department operations ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes and medication management
• Lead, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff to maintain high-quality service delivery
• Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and workflow processes
• Implement best practices in medication safety and clinical pharmacy services

Qualifications:

• Current, active pharmacy license in good standing in New York State or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Disclosure and verification of all active and inactive pharmacist licenses
• Minimum of 3 years acute care hospital management experience
• 3–5 years hospital pharmacy experience
