Director of Pharmacy - Bronx, New York

Lead pharmacy operations within a community-focused health system as the Director of Pharmacy at a county-owned critical access hospital in the scenic Finger Lakes region. This direct hire role offers an excellent opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership over pharmacy services that support high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Location: Bronx, NY (Note: Facility based in Western New York’s Finger Lakes region)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed
• Holidays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all pharmacy operations within a 25-bed critical access hospital and a 10-bed inpatient behavioral health unit
• Lead and mentor a pharmacy team comprising full-time and PRN pharmacists and technicians
• Manage departmental compliance with regulatory standards and oversee quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance patient care and medication safety
• Support budget development and resource allocation for the pharmacy department

Qualifications:

• Current, active pharmacy license in good standing in New York State, or willingness to obtain before start date (employment contingent upon licensure)
• Disclosure and verification of all active and inactive pharmacist licenses
• Minimum 3 years of acute care hospital pharmacy management experience
• 3 to 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience

This is a direct hire position with a competitive salary up to $169,674. Relocation assistance and sign-on bonuses are not offered.
