Director of Pharmacy in Brooklyn, NY

An established county-owned health system anchored by a critical access hospital and behavioral health unit is seeking a Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and oversight for pharmacy operations. • Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed
• Holidays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Team Composition

• 2 Full-Time Pharmacists
• 2 Full-Time Pharmacy Technicians
• 2 PRN Pharmacists
• 1 PRN Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations in a hospital and behavioral health setting
• Lead and mentor pharmacy staff to ensure safe, effective medication use
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Collaborate with medical and nursing leadership to support patient care initiatives
• Manage budget and resources efficiently within the department
• Maintain accurate records and implement quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Active pharmacy license in good standing in New York State, or willingness to obtain prior to start (employment contingent on licensure)
• Disclosure of all active/inactive licenses for verification
• Minimum of 3 years acute care hospital management experience
• 3–5 years hospital pharmacy experience
