An established county-owned health system in the scenic Finger Lakes region of Western New York seeks an experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead pharmacy operations within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and 10-bed inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. This leadership role involves managing a stable, close-knit pharmacy team and making a direct impact on patient care in a community-focused setting.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed
  • Holidays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Team Structure:

  • 2 Full-Time Pharmacists
  • 2 Full-Time Pharmacy Technicians
  • 2 PRN Pharmacists
  • 1 PRN Pharmacy Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Lead and develop the pharmacy team to promote a collaborative and effective workplace
  • Manage pharmacy budgets and resources efficiently
  • Implement best practices for medication management and patient safety
  • Collaborate with medical staff to optimize pharmaceutical care

Qualifications:

  • Current, active pharmacy license in good standing in New York State, or willingness to obtain one prior to start date (employment contingent on licensure)
  • Full disclosure of all active and inactive pharmacist licenses, verified for good standing
  • Minimum 3 years acute care hospital management experience
  • 3–5 years hospital pharmacy experience

This direct hire position offers a competitive salary up to $169,674, without relocation assistance or sign-on bonus. The manageable department size provides a hands-on leadership opportunity within a tenured team in a stable healthcare environment.
