An established county-owned health system in the scenic Finger Lakes region of Western New York seeks an experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead pharmacy operations within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and 10-bed inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. This leadership role involves managing a stable, close-knit pharmacy team and making a direct impact on patient care in a community-focused setting.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
- Holidays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Team Structure:
- 2 Full-Time Pharmacists
- 2 Full-Time Pharmacy Technicians
- 2 PRN Pharmacists
- 1 PRN Pharmacy Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Lead and develop the pharmacy team to promote a collaborative and effective workplace
- Manage pharmacy budgets and resources efficiently
- Implement best practices for medication management and patient safety
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize pharmaceutical care
Qualifications:
- Current, active pharmacy license in good standing in New York State, or willingness to obtain one prior to start date (employment contingent on licensure)
- Full disclosure of all active and inactive pharmacist licenses, verified for good standing
- Minimum 3 years acute care hospital management experience
- 3–5 years hospital pharmacy experience
