Director of Pharmacy - Byron Center, MI

This role focuses on leading pharmacy operations at a behavioral health facility with an average daily census of 40 patients. The position requires a knowledgeable and licensed Michigan pharmacist to serve as Director of Pharmacy (DOP) and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC). Coverage is needed immediately, with the current DOP’s last day on May 22nd, extending approximately 8 or more weeks while a permanent candidate is secured.

Responsibilities include order verification and inventory maintenance with no technician support available, emphasizing hands-on pharmacy management. Experience with HCS order entry systems and Omnicell automation is preferred to ensure seamless workflow and patient care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays remotely from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing
• Previous Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacist in Charge experience
• Familiarity with HCS order entry systems preferred
• Experience with Omnicell automation a plus
• Behavioral health pharmacy knowledge beneficial
• Ability to maintain inventory independently without technician support

• Saturday (remote): 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
