This opportunity is for a Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role at a behavioral health facility in Byron Center, MI. The position requires immediate coverage following the current Director’s departure on May 22nd and is expected to last around 8+ weeks while a permanent candidate is secured.
Responsibilities in this leadership role include managing order verification processes, overseeing inventory maintenance, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations with no technician support on-site. The role also involves directing pharmacy services within a behavioral health setting with an average daily census of 40 patients.
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing
- Experience using the HCS order entry system preferred
- Familiarity with Omnicell site automation preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment without tech support
- Leadership skills to oversee pharmacy operations and coordinate with clinical staff
Schedule and Coverage:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on-site
- Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM remotely
