Soliant Health is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy for a permanent leadership opportunity in Chicago, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven acute care pharmacy leader to oversee clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial functions while making a meaningful impact in a community-focused hospital serving an underserved population.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Direct Hire, Permanent
- Location: Chicago, Illinois
- Setting: Approximately 135-bed acute care hospital
- Pharmacy Team: Lead a department of approximately 20 full-time, part-time, and PRN employees
- Salary: $165,000–$185,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- Bonus: Eligible for annual company bonus
- Relocation: Assistance may be considered based on relocation distance
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope leadership for the clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management of the pharmacy department
- Lead and develop a multi-level pharmacy team across full-time, part-time, and PRN staff
- Partner with hospital administration and clinical leadership to support patient care and organizational goals
- Maintain strong regulatory compliance, including Joint Commission and CMS standards
- Drive pharmacy operations and clinical services within a community-focused acute care hospital
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing — required
- Minimum of 3 years of Director of Pharmacy experience in an acute care inpatient hospital — required
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience — required
- All active and inactive pharmacist licenses must be disclosed and verified to be in good standing
- Strong leadership experience managing pharmacy staff and operations
Preferred Qualifications
- PharmD strongly preferred
- Board Certification strongly preferred
- Pharmacy residency experience is a plus
- Experience with Joint Commission and CMS compliance
- Background working in a community hospital or safety-net hospital setting

Pharmacy Hours:
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–10:00 PM
Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM
