Director of Pharmacy - Chula Vista, CA

An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy at a 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. This contract role offers a chance to oversee pharmacy operations and serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the site, ensuring compliance and optimal pharmaceutical care.

Location:

• Chula Vista, CA (San Diego area)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts

Contract Details:

• Immediate start
• Duration of 13 weeks with potential for temp-to-hire

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direct oversight of all pharmacy operations
• Serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) ensuring regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care initiatives
• Manage pharmacy staff and workflow to optimize efficiency
• Utilize RX Connect system for pharmacy management and documentation

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license required
• Proven experience working as a Director of Pharmacy in California
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor staff
• Familiarity with LTAC hospital pharmacy operations preferred
• Proficiency in pharmacy IT systems, specifically RX Connect, is a plus
