Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations within an acute care inpatient hospital environment
- Manage and mentor a team of approximately 20 full-time, part-time, and PRN pharmacy staff
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS regulations
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to optimize pharmacy services and patient care outcomes
- Lead initiatives focused on community health improvement in a safety net hospital setting
Required Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing; mandatory with all licenses disclosed and verified
- Minimum three years’ experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting
- Minimum three years’ acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- PharmD degree strongly preferred
- Board Certification considered a significant advantage
- Completion of hospital pharmacy residency programs a plus
- Experience managing multi-tiered pharmacy teams
- Strong background in Joint Commission and CMS compliance
- Previous work in community or safety net hospitals is highly valued
