An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy leader to serve as Director of Pharmacy at a major Level II Trauma Center in Florida. This direct hire role commands a competitive annual salary from $205,000 to $220,000, along with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and eligibility for an annual company bonus. The facility operates 24/7 and supports a pharmacy team of over 100 employees with six direct reports, delivering comprehensive services across inpatient, ambulatory, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory management.

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the entire pharmacy department within a 772-bed acute care hospital
  • Manage a diverse pharmacy team spanning multiple service lines, including inpatient and ambulatory care
  • Oversee 24/7 pharmacy operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate regularly with C-suite leadership and other multidisciplinary teams to integrate pharmacy services into broader clinical initiatives
  • Supervise and mentor six direct reports, including assistant directors and managers covering inpatient, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory functions

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Florida Pharmacist License and Consultant Pharmacist License, or the ability to obtain both promptly
  • Minimum three years of Director of Pharmacy experience in an acute inpatient hospital setting (required)
  • At least three years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
  • PharmD preferred; Board Certification and residency completion are strong pluses
  • Experience leading large pharmacy teams across multiple service lines
  • Experience in sterile compounding oversight preferred
  • Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment highly desirable
