Director of Pharmacy - Culpeper, VA

An opportunity is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy to lead the pharmacy department at a 100-bed community hospital in Northern Virginia. This role focuses on managing the day-to-day operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and contributing to the hospital’s patient care mission.

Location: Culpeper, VA (approximately two hours from the DC metro area)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring efficient and compliant workflows.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Manage compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to support optimal patient care.
• Utilize IT systems including Meditech and Omnicell to streamline pharmacy services.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Virginia Pharmacist license
• Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy management experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Familiarity with Meditech and Omnicell systems preferred
