Director of Pharmacy in Easton, PA

A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Director to oversee pharmacy operations in a behavioral health setting. This contract position involves providing critical pharmacy services with a focus on inpatient care, ideally within behavioral health facilities.

Location: Bethlehem, PA (Easton area)
Job Type: Contract
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, plus on-call duties
• Weekend coverage: Remote order verification twice daily (9:00 AM & 9:00 PM; approximately 1 hour each)

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license is required
• Demonstrated experience in inpatient pharmacy practice, preferably in behavioral health
• Skilled in using EPIC order entry system; on-site training provided
• Familiarity with Omnicell automation preferred, though training available
• Ability to manage pharmacy without technician support
• Strong leadership skills including new pharmacy set-up, policy development, and team collaboration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Director of Pharmacy, potentially also acting as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
• Oversee inpatient medication management and order verification
• Participate in facility meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Manage medication stocking and Omnicell system oversight
• Develop and implement initial pharmacy policies and operational procedures
• Maintain professional standards and compliance with regulatory requirements

• Dress code is flexible: scrubs or business casual attire accepted
