An immediate leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Director to provide expert oversight and operational management at a behavioral health facility. This contract role ensures continuity of pharmaceutical services during the transition period until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is appointed. The position requires strong inpatient and behavioral health pharmacy experience along with Pennsylvania pharmacist licensure.

Location: Bethlehem, PA (covering the Easton area)
Job Type: Contract, starting ASAP until permanent hire

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM plus on-call responsibilities
  • Weekend order verification remotely twice daily at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM (approximately 1 hour each)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct pharmacist services including medication order verification, stocking, and management of Omnicell automation
  • Oversee pharmacy operations with focus on inpatient behavioral health care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to align pharmacy services with patient care goals
  • Lead initial pharmacy setup, develop new policies, and support system enhancements
  • Utilize EPIC for order entry and maintain compliance with facility protocols

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
  • Prior experience in inpatient pharmacy and behavioral health settings preferred
  • Familiarity with Omnicell automation (training provided if needed)
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to guide pharmacy development efforts

Work Environment:

  • Dress code options include scrubs or business casual attire
  • Minimal technical support; must be adaptable and proactive
