Home Infusion Assistant Director of Pharmacy | Edmond, Oklahoma

This full-time Director of Operations position offers a unique opportunity to lead a growing specialty home infusion pharmacy in Oklahoma City, OK. The role requires a dedicated professional to oversee the pharmacy’s operations and staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services and medical supplies in compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include directing pharmacy and operational functions; maintaining adherence to USP 797 and USP 800 standards, as well as State Board of Pharmacy regulations; overseeing compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services; and managing the preparation and distribution of medications and solutions. The Director will lead a team comprising Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns, handle managerial duties such as hiring, training, performance management, and payroll approval, and participate in an administrative on-call schedule.

Key duties also encompass conducting patient assessments to determine drug-related needs, revising care plans, maintaining controlled substances protocols, liaising with physicians and referral sources, and serving as an informational resource for sales teams. The position demands strong leadership and communication skills, with an emphasis on training and mentoring staff by example.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist with clinical experience
• Current and active Oklahoma pharmacy license; additional licensures as required
• Minimum 3-5 years pharmacist experience, preferably with direct compounding in specialty pharmacy or home infusion settings
• Knowledge and adherence to USP 797, USP 800, and BOP regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• CPR certification and Care Tend proficiency highly desirable
• Exceptional customer service skills and strong infusion expertise

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, daytime hours
• Administrative on-call responsibilities
