Director of Pharmacy - El Cajon, California

An opening is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and oversight in a 70-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting. This position requires holding the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role for the site and managing all pharmacy operations to ensure compliance and optimal patient care.

Location:

• El Cajon, CA (San Diego area)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the hospital pharmacy
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations to maintain compliance with regulations
• Manage pharmacy staff and workflow effectively
• Utilize RX Connect IT system for pharmacy management
• Ensure safe and accurate medication distribution and control

Qualifications:

• Active California pharmacist license
• Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare settings
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, specifically RX Connect, is preferred

This opportunity is a contract position for a minimum of 13 weeks with the possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role.
