Seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy for a 70-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital located in El Cajon, CA. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated professional to oversee pharmacy operations and serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the site. The position is available immediately and is scheduled for a 13-week engagement, with potential to transition to permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive oversight of all pharmacy functions to ensure compliance and optimal service delivery
- Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), maintaining regulatory standards and quality
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care initiatives
- Manage pharmacy staff, workflow, and operational protocols
- Utilize RX Connect IT system for pharmacy management and documentation
Qualifications:
- Active California pharmacist license required
- Proven experience serving as a Director of Pharmacy within California
- Strong leadership skills and regulatory knowledge in pharmacy operations
- Ability to effectively manage staff and workflows in a hospital setting
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, day shifts
