An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy at a 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital in El Cajon, CA. This contract role offers a chance to oversee all pharmacy operations and serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the facility. The assignment is expected to last approximately 13 weeks, with potential for conversion to a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational oversight of pharmacy services in a LTAC setting.
  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Manage medication use processes, including formulary management and pharmacy staff supervision.
  • Collaborate with medical and nursing leadership to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Utilize RX Connect information technology systems for pharmacy operations and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Active California pharmacist license.
  • Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy in California, preferably in an LTAC or hospital environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to California.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions regarding pharmacy operations.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shifts.
