Director of Pharmacy in El Cajon, CA

An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy at a 70-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital in the San Diego area. This contract position offers a chance to oversee pharmacy operations while serving as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the site.

Location:

• El Cajon, CA

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight of the pharmacy department ensuring safe and effective medication use
• Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the facility, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical staff to optimize pharmacy services
• Utilize RX Connect for pharmacy management and documentation
• Lead quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy

Qualifications:

• Active California pharmacist license required
• Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare settings
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Familiarity with LTAC hospital environments preferred

This position is available immediately and is contracted for a minimum of 13 weeks, with potential to transition to a permanent role.
