Director of Pharmacy | Eldon, Iowa

An interim leadership role is available overseeing pharmacy operations at a healthcare facility in Eldon, Iowa. This position requires an experienced pharmacy professional to serve as Director of Pharmacy, managing inpatient services and leading a small team during a transitional period. The contract engagement is expected to last for a minimum of three months, with potential extension depending on recruitment progress.

Location:

• Eldon, Iowa

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, business hours
• Flexibility required to support staffing needs
• Limited on-call responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and management of the pharmacy department
• Supervise 3 pharmacists and 4 technicians
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management
• Participate in budget oversight and financial activities
• Ensure compliance with USP 797 and 800 sterile compounding standards
• Support recruitment efforts and collaborate with corporate leadership
• Attend relevant meetings and represent pharmacy interests

Qualifications:

• Must hold an active Iowa pharmacy license
• Prior experience managing inpatient pharmacy operations
• Previous leadership or Director of Pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech order entry system and Omnicell site automation
• Strong organizational and communication skills
