A critical illness recovery hospital is seeking a dedicated Director of Pharmacy to lead its pharmacy department in Warrensville Heights, OH. This hospital specializes in providing world-class inpatient post-ICU care for chronic, critically ill patients requiring extended healing and recovery. The Director of Pharmacy plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care by fostering collaboration among clinical teams and promoting a strong culture of success and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management of the hospital pharmacy
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure high-quality pharmacy services
  • Oversee pharmacy processes to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures to support patient care and operational efficiency
  • Manage pharmacy staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
  • Drive initiatives that promote improvement and innovation in pharmacy services

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of all educational requirements for state licensure
  • Minimum of three (3) years hospital pharmacy experience within the last five (5) years
  • Current state pharmacy license and BLS certification if required by the state

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency
  • Minimum of one (1) year managerial experience in a healthcare setting
  • Board Certification and/or completion of a residency program preferred
