A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Director to oversee pharmacy operations at a newly opening behavioral health facility. This is a contract role based in Peoria, IL, providing critical support to establish pharmacy services for an inpatient behavioral hospital.

The Director of Pharmacy (DOP) will serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and handle all aspects of pharmacy management at this startup site. Responsibilities include overseeing medication order approvals, stocking and managing Omnicell automation, participating in Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) meetings, and ensuring all operational processes align with regulatory requirements. There is no sterile compounding involved. Training on the HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation will be provided.

Schedule & Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call coverage required after each shift and possible weekend on-call duties

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Illinois pharmacist licensure is required
• Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy, preferably in a behavioral health setting
• Familiarity with HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation strongly preferred
• Ability to independently manage pharmacy operations without technician support

This contract assignment begins as soon as May 25th and will extend through July, with possible adjustments to the end date based on facility needs.
