An interim leadership opportunity is available for a seasoned pharmacy professional to serve as Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge at a behavioral health-focused hospital in North Texas. This contract role provides coverage from early October for approximately 13 weeks, overlapping with the outgoing director to ensure a smooth transition until a permanent hire is in place.
Location: Greenville, TX
Facility: 54 licensed beds with expansion plans in 2027
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM with on-call duties
- Occasional weekend coverage, Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Responsibilities:
- Lead pharmacy operations including staffing, workflow, and compliance
- Oversee pharmacy committees and contribute to organizational planning
- Support and train new staff, including a part-time pharmacist in training
- Ensure smooth operations in an inpatient behavioral health setting serving adults 18+
- Collaborate closely with outgoing leadership during overlap period to maintain continuity
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Texas with Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager experience
- Proven leadership in inpatient pharmacy, preferably with behavioral health exposure
- Familiarity with HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation is a plus
- Strong skills in staff management and regulatory adherence
- Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and occasional weekend shifts
