This leadership role offers an opportunity to direct pharmacy operations within an acute care hospital near Nashville, Tennessee. The position requires an experienced pharmacy director prepared to travel and lead a well-supported team in a dynamic hospital environment. The role is on-site Monday through Friday and is not remote.

Location: Nashville, Tennessee Area
Type: Travel Contract or Temp to Hire
Schedule: Monday through Friday, on site only

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the pharmacy department
  • Oversee pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Manage budgetary and financial aspects of the pharmacy department
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital administration
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a large, multidisciplinary pharmacy team
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy management experience
  • 3 to 5 years of overall hospital pharmacy experience
  • Active Tennessee Pharmacist License
  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy required
  • Demonstrated budget management and financial oversight experience
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire teams
  • Experience leading large pharmacy teams in a hospital setting
  • Strong collaboration skills across clinical and administrative departments
