Home Infusion Assistant Director of Pharmacy | Fremont, California

A full-time Director of Pharmacy opportunity is available to lead and manage a Specialty Home Infusion Pharmacy located in Fremont, CA. This direct hire role requires a dynamic leader to oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Direct overall pharmacy and operations functions for effective and compliant service delivery
• Ensure adherence to USP 797 and USP 800 standards, as well as State Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Oversee compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring of medications
• Maintain accurate preparation and distribution of prescriptions and solutions
• Conduct patient assessments to identify drug-related needs and revise care plans accordingly
• Supervise Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns
• Manage controlled substances security and compliance
• Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and support sales efforts as a drug information resource
• Participate in pharmacist on-call rotation and cover shifts as necessary
• Lead hiring, training, performance management, team development, and strategic planning for direct reports

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph.) with clinical experience
• California pharmacy license in good standing; additional licensure per state requirements
• 3-5 years’ pharmacist experience, preferably including direct compounding
• Experience in specialty pharmacy or home infusion highly preferred
• CPR certification and Care Tend familiarity desired
• Strong customer service skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
