An opportunity is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and oversight at an acute care facility in Nacogdoches, TX. This role requires an experienced Pharmacy Director who holds a Texas Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) license and has a strong background in inpatient acute care and pharmacy management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative leadership and direction to pharmacy staff
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and operational workflows
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain quality patient care standards
- Coordinate pharmacy in-services and staff development
- Collaborate with clinical pharmacists and technicians to optimize pharmacy operations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) in Texas is mandatory
- Proven experience in inpatient acute care pharmacy settings
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills in a pharmacy environment
- Familiarity with Cerner/Siemens pharmacy order entry systems and Omnicell automation
- Ability to uphold regulatory standards and coordinate quality initiatives
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, day shift (40 hours per week)
- No weekend coverage or on-call responsibilities
Facility Information:
- Acute care hospital setting with a pharmacy team consisting of 1 Director of Pharmacy, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 4 PRN Pharmacists, 5 full-time Certified Pharmacy Technicians, and 3 PRN Certified Pharmacy Technicians
- Business casual dress code
